5 WWE Couples who decided to part ways

While numerous WWE Superstars have been engaged and married in recent months, fate wasn’t in favour of some and they, unfortunately, had split up with their real-life partners. Many WWE Superstars have started new love relationships in the last two years. A few have publicized their engagements, and others have married family members.

Other active and retired WWE Superstars, on the other hand, have had a blended experience. While some wrestlers stopped dating other wrestlers, other couples called off their engagements, divorced, or parted ways from their spouses.

#5) Gigi Dolin & Darby Allin

Gigi Dolin fell for the current AEW standout Darby Allin a couple of years before signing with WWE. Before declaring their commitment, the couple dated for four months on their own. In November of 2018, they tied the knot.

In August 2020, the pair announced their divorce after nearly two years of marriage. During an interview on the Excuse me: The Vickie Guerrero Show a few months later, the NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion revealed her divorce. On the same broadcast, Dolin explained the cause of her divorce.

Dolin officially joined WWE a few months following their divorce. On NXT, the 24-year-old is now a member of the Toxic Attraction stable, which is headed by Mandy Rose. Along with Jacy Jayne, she is a member of the NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions. Meanwhile, Allin is a prominent athlete on the AEW television network. On AEW Rampage, he apparently pinned Billy Gunn.

#4) Alexa Bliss & Buddy Murphy

Alexa Bliss debuted on television in mid-2013, after joining WWE in mid-2013. Bliss acquired the position of being the manager of Wesley Blake and Buddy Murphy throughout her stint in NXT. The 30-year-old and Murphy developed a love relationship while working together on stage.

\Before declaring their engagement in January 2017, Bliss and Murphy dated for over two years. The pair, unfortunately, divorced a year later. Despite having kept their romance discreet, Bliss acknowledged her split with Murphy in 2020 when she responded to a fan’s comment on Twitter regarding her dating life. Ryan Cabrera, a musician, is Little Miss Bliss’s present boyfriend.

#3) Nikki Bella & John Cena

Nikki Bella, a WWE Hall of Famer, and John Cena began dating her in 2012. After completing a 75-page pact, Bella moved in with Cena. Despite their affection for each other, the two wrestlers had opposing views on getting married and having children. Cena had already been married and did not want to do so once again. He, too, had no inclination to have children. Bella, on the other hand, desired to marry the 16-time World Champion and start a family with him.

At WrestleMania 33 in 2017, the couple paired together to beat The Miz and Maryse. After their match, the former WWE Champion asked Nikki out for marriage. The couple got engaged in February 2018 and planned to marry on May 5, 2018. Despite this, approximately a month before their wedding, they called off their engagement. The two WWE legends separated for good in July 2018 after a brief reconciliation.

#2) Mandy Rose & Michael Lubic

After competing in the 2015 Tough Enough tournament, WWE signed Mandy Rose. She was then featured in WWE’s Total Divas, where she co-starred with her real-life love interest at the time, Michael Lubic.
Lubic and Rose began dating in 2010.

Shortly, the couple confirmed their engagement. Rose and Lubic’s romance, unfortunately, terminated just a few months later. They both unfollowed each other on Instagram and removed their images together. Rose and Lubic have gone on with their lives since calling off their engagement and have begun new relationships.

#1) Paige & Alberto Del Rio

Paige’s WWE tenure was brief, but she left an indelible mark. She won the Divas Championship twice, the first on her first appearance on the show. Her career was cut short for the first time in 2016 due to an unlucky neck injury.

Paige began dating Alberto Del Rio while she was healing from her neck injury. Paige even proposed to Del Rio in front of an audience at a live wrestling match. Nevertheless, following the engagement, their relationship did not work out, and the couple divorced in 2017. Paige is presently dating Ronnie Radke, the main vocalist of Falling in Reverse.
