5 biggest wins of Roger Federer's career

Roger Federer defeated Marin Cilic in the 2018 Australian Open final in a five tight sets 6-2, 6-7 (7-5), 6-3, 3-6, 6-1 to become the first man in tennis history to win 20 major titles. This was also Federer's last grand slam title.

2003 was when it all began for the Swiss maestro. Roger Federer, who knocked out his childhood hero Pete Sampras in the fourth round in 2001 Wimbledon, finally claimed his first Grand Slam with a victory over giant Australian Mark Philippoussis, 7-6 (5), 6-2, 7-6 (7).

In one of the greatest grand slam finals of all time, Roger Federer defeated Andy Roddick in the 2009 Wimbledon final in five gruelling sets 5-7,7-6,7-6, 3-6, 16-14 to beat Roddick  for the third time.

Playing his greatest rival Rafael Nadal once again in a major final, Roger Federer defeated Nadal in five tight sets 6-4,3-6,6-1,3-6,6-3. This was also the last major final between Nadal and Federer.

Roger Federer's most prestigious silverware has to be the 2009 Roland Garros trophy. Rafael Nadal has dominated the French Open and defeated Federer on multiple occasions. Finally in 2009, he defeated Robin Soderling, Nadal's slayer in the final in straight sets 6-1, 7-6, 6-4 to win his maiden and only Roland Garros title and eventually completed the career slam.
