The Frenchman was the most dreadful striker in La Liga having 39 goals and assists in just 32 matches. He scored 27 and assisted 12 goals. He won the Pichichi award as he was the top-scorer of the competition.

He had one of the most prolific seasons a striker has ever had in the Champions League. Benzema bagged 15 goals in only 12 matches, taking Real Madrid to glory. Benzema also scored in the UEFA Super Cup final against Frankfurt.
