5 players refused to wear Rays LGBTQ+ Pride-themed jerseys

In honor of Pride Month, Tampa Bay Rays designed a logo on their jerseys to show support for the LGBTQ community. 5 Pitchers refused to put on the jerseys due to religious beliefs

Jason Adam He joined the Tampa Bay Rays on a one-year deal, he did not want to encourage LGBTQ due to his beliefs in Jesus.

Jalen Beeks He has been a part of the organization since 2018. His beliefs made him opt out of the Pride Night celebrations.

Brooks Raley Brooks joined the Tampa Bay Rays on a two-year deal worth $10 million in 2021. Refused to wear the Rays team logo and cap in support of LGBTQ+ Pride

Jeffrey Springs Springs went through a season-ending surgery in August, ACL tear in the right knee. He was traded from the Red Sox in 2021.

Ryan Thompson He has had plenty ups and downs with Tampa Bay Rays, under-going surgery, making only 36 appearances in 2021.
