Former welterweight champion and pound-for-pound king, Kamaru Usman is preparing to come back from a shocking knockout loss in his last title fight against Leon Edwards at UFC 278.

Usman won the belt back in 2019 against Tyron Woodley. He successfully defended it 5 times and was on his way to another smooth victory but Leon Edwards knocked him out in the 5th round to produce one of the most incredible highlight-reel knockouts.

This incident shocked everyone in the MMA community, and many thought Usman would never come back from such a devastating loss, but 'The Nigerian Nightmare' is adamant about proving everyone wrong.

Usman's first loss came way back in 2013, and that motivated him to work harder than anyone. He left no stone unturned and accumulated one of the most impressive win streaks in UFC history. Usman is still training with same fire, and he described the experience in a recent interview.

A rematch between Usman and Edwards is booked. While the pressure is on Usman, he completely believes in his ability to recapture the welterweight title.
