Hasan Piker, known by his internet moniker 'HasanAbi' is a Turkish-American Twitch streamer that has been on the platform for over 5 years now.
Apart from Twitch streaming and uploading content on YouTube, Hasan takes active interest in politics, and has also seen a career as a left-wing political commentator.
Before establishing a career on Twitch in 2018, he worked as a broadcast journalist as well as a producer for The Young Turks. He also worked as a columnist at HuffPost.
Hasan's streaming career started with Facebook but he quickly decided to shift to Twitch in order to cater to the younger audience and present his political views, which he often does on Twitter.
Unlike other streamers, his live streams mostly revolve around political commentary. In fact, he was invited by US representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez along with Pokimane to play Among Us.
Even though he is the most watched political streamer on Twitch, he has been involved in a lot of controversies. He was criticized for buying a large mansion that contradicted with his political views. He has also been banned on Twitch multiple times.
Piker recently won the Streamy Awards 2022 for the News category. This is the streamer's second Streamy Award after the start of his streaming career.
As of 2023, HasanAbi's net worth is estimated to be somewhere around $2.3 million USD. Most of his earnings come from Twitch as well as YouTube videos.
