Adria Tour: Victor Troicki and his pregnant wife tested positive for coronavirus

World number 1, Novak Djokovic organised the Adria Tour as a charity event. But it is turning into a COVID19 hot zone as many top players tested positive for coronavirus. Grigor Dimitrov was first to be tested positive, after that final between Andrey Rublev vs Novak Djokovic was cancelled. Then Borna Coric result came and was tested positive. Both players posted on their social media and apologised if they have put anyone in danger.

It was followed by Dimitrov’s coach, Chris Gro, and Djokovic’s fitness coach, Marko Paniki, who were tested positive for coronavirus. But later we had some good news as Alexander Zverev, Marin Cilic and Rublev have tested negative for Covid-19.

Victor Troicki, another participant from the Adria tour is reportedly tested positive for coronavirus. He is the latest person to have tested positive, Damir Džumhur’s result came and has tested negative. It is also reported that Victor Troicki’s pregnant wife has tested positive for COVID19.

Throughout the tournament players and officials didn’t abide by the guidelines of social distancing and didn’t wear masks.In all photos there are people around like everything is normal. Novak Djokovic had returned to Belgrade and his results will be made public on Tuesday, as per reports.

Novak Djokovic faced a lot of criticism as some top players weren’t happy with the timing of this tournament. Nick Kyrgios called his decision to go ahead with the Adria Tour “boneheaded decision”. Andy Murray also showed his concern over the number of positive cases from this tournament.
