AIFF will pay two-months stipend to U-17 WC probables to help them meet basic requirements

AIFF (All India Football Federation) has declared that they will be paying 2-months stipend to U-17 Women’s World Cup probarbles to help them meet their dietary requirements and basic expenditures. However, the training remains suspended for these Athletes due to The COVID-19 pandemic across the world.

In a statement released by the AIFF, it said, “All India Football Federation has taken an initiative to support the dietary regime of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup probarbles by paying a stipend of Rs. 10000/- per player for the months of June, and July, 2020.”

“The AIFF will take a stock of the situation later as and when the preparatory camp in Goa can resume as per Government directives.” it further added.

The statement also confirmed that all the probables are currently safe at their respective homes.

“With footballing activities staying suspended due to the Covid19 pandemic, all of the current U-17 World Cup probables are currently at their respective homes.” AIFF confirmed.

The FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup was prior scheduled to be held in five Indian cities from 2nd to 21st November, but the event got postponed to next year because of the pandemic.

As of now, the event will now be held from 17th February to 7th March next year.
