The UFC Welterweight fighter and member of ESPN studio analyst team Alan Jouban announce his retirement from the UFC today. He is a member of UFC since 2014 and holds a professional record of 17-7.

Jouban holds remarkable victories over the Welterweight fighters such as Belal Muhammad, Ben Saunders, Mike Perry, and many others. He last competed inside the Octagon against Jared Gooden on UFC 255.

Alan Jouban has been in and out of fighting due to injuries and many other issues and due to this he announced his retirement with his latest tweet which says, “I’d like to officially announce my retirement from MMA,”

“Fighting and the ufc have given me everything I have today! I would not change a single thing from my journey because I got to live my dream and not know what was next.”

He continued, “My coaches, my teammates, those of you that were apart of this, I appreciate you so much! Thank you to my supporters and even my opponents along the way. Injuries, age and life have shown me that it’s time. If I can’t compete to my fullest, then I won’t.”

“So I’ll focus my time now on broadcasting where I can still share my passion and knowledge for the sport with everyone at home. Thank you to everyone for all the love over the years. I look forward to becoming a staple in the sport from this end now aswell.”

After the retirement announcement on Alan Jouban, some of the UFC elites congratulated him. Belal Muhammad says, “Congrats on a great career bro honor sharing the cage with you best of luck in the future.”

Dustin Poirier said, “Congratulations on a great career.” And Cub Swanson says, “Congrats on the career and on having an exit strategy”
