The Pakistan Super League (PSL) has been in the news for all the wrong reasons lately. The league has been postponed for now due to the outbreak of Covid-19 positive cases. As they try to navigate the dire situation, Englishman Alex Hales‘ post has piled more misery on the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
Hales is a part of the Islamabad United for PSL 2021. On Thursday, he took to Instagram to post a picture of the food offered to him. And took a hilarious dig at the organisers. In the food packet, he received raw eggs and that too were cracked. Taking a dig at the PCB, Hales wrote on his Instagram story, “Toast, omelette and baked beans,” referring to the broken eggs and slice of bread he received.
The ongoing PSL 2021 got postponed on Thursday with immediate effect as three more cricketers tested positive for COVID-19, taking the total number of cases to seven. The seven cases consist of six players while one is a support staff member.
‘Following a meeting with the team owners and considering the health and wellbeing of all participants is paramount. The Pakistan Cricket Board has decided to postpone the HBL Pakistan Super League 6 with immediate effect,’ the PCB said in a statement. The Board made the decision after 7 people tested positive.
