Andre De Grasse dons the iconic Ryan Reynolds’ Christmas sweater

Canadian sprinter Andre de Grasse was recently seen wearing the iconic ‘ugly’ Christmas sweater of Hollywood superstar Ryan Reynolds. This exchange of sweater took place as a part of Reynolds’ campaign pertaining to the needs of sick children along with the Tokyo Olympics 2020 200m champion.

The ‘SickKids’ campaign aimed to spread Christmas cheer with the help of handing out gift hampers to children. Coming to De Grasse’s recent social media, he asked his fans and supporters to spread the word for this campaign and come forward with donations in this festive season. 

Notably, he was wearing the same sweater that Ryan Reynolds wore back in 2018. The Hollywood actor’s post went viral like crazy on the internet which included his co-actors Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal as well. The actor this time used it for something positive the actor turned that into something positive to raise money for Toronto’s SickKids Foundation with the help of the Canadian track and field champion.

Reynolds’ campaign fetched more than $300,000

In an animation video, the success of the campaign came out which revealed that it had fetched more than $300,000. The Tokyo 2020 200m gold-medalist and 100m bronze medal-winner, De Grasse played a vital role with his contribution to the foundation.

“The past couple of years my beloved, yet aesthetically challenged, holiday sweater has become a symbol for how much we all care about children and SickKids hospital. But this year, I want to recognize the doctors and nurses too. And that means that, with all due respect to a certain iconic trio from the 90s, I do want scrubs,” said Reynolds.
