Anthony Davis leaves game early against LA Clippers; misery continues for LA Lakers

Problems seem to get worse for LA Lakers as not only is their suffering big time, but they are able to not get any constant support from their big stars. It was just a handful of games, until Anthony Davis returned but he too went in early as LA lakers faced off city rivals LA Clippers due to back spasms.

Anthony Davis exited the game with 2 minutes and 50 seconds remaining in the first quarter and did not return. He was evaluated by team medical staff during the second half before the team announced he would not return shortly after the third quarter began. 

LA Lakers’ Anthony Davis exists early against LA Clippers 

Anthony Davis, playing in his eighth game since missing nine weeks because of a calf strain and Achilles tendinosis in his right leg, played nine minutes in the first quarter and scored four points on 2-for-9 shooting with one rebound. The LA Clippers outscored the LA Lakers by 10 in the time Davis was on the court. 

L.A Lakers entered the night leading the No. 7 Portland Trail Blazers by a 1/2 game, keeping the defending champs narrowly out of a play-in scenario if the regular season ended today. The LA Lakers host the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday in the second night of a back-to-back.

Having said that, LeBron James played two games last week after returning from a high right ankle sprain before needing to leave the lineup the last two games to continue his rehab.
