Pravin Jadhav has crashed out of the Tokyo Olympics in the Round of 16. Jadhav failed to step up against reigning World Champion Brady Ellison. The American cruised through to the quarterfinals with a win in straight games. Jadhav started off strobly losing the first set by only a point.

But the Indian struggled in the second and thrid game with scores of 26 and 23 as he failed to hit a single bulls eye. Ellison too had nervous moments in the game but recovered well.

Jadhav had cruised into the Round of 16 with a resounding win against second seed Galsan Bazarzhapov. The Indian shot superbly against the Russian as he took the game 6-0 but failed the emulate the success in the next round. One has to feel for Jadhav who was handed the toughest draw among the Indians.

India still has hopes in the individual events with Atanu Das and Deepika Kumari‘s matches to come. Deepika will be facing Karma of Bhutan in her Round of 32 clash on Wednesday. Atanu will be squaring off with Yu-Cheng Deng of Chinese Taipei on Thursday. Earlier Tarundeep Rai has crashed out of the Tokyo Olympics with a shocking loss against Israel’s Itay Shanny in a shoot-off.
