It seems like Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra is having a tough time navigating through Indian media. Having conquered the Olympic Games, Neeraj has been showered with adulations and rewards but with all the attention came some unwarranted actions from the country’s media.

A recent incident yet again proved to Neeraj that being the centre of attention may not always be a great thing. During an event organised by a media house, art historian Rajeev Sethi came up with a question that left the ace javelin thrower in disgust. Sethi asked Neeraj Chopra about his sex life claiming that it was a question crores of Indians want to ask.

Before asking the question, Rajeev exclaimed, “What a handsome young man you are!” Then he proceeds to ask, “How do you maintain a balance between your sex life and athletic training? I know this is a weird question.

Chopra was visibly disturbed by the question as he tried to politely evade it. “Sorry, sir. I have said sorry, you can know my answer from that,” the Tokyo Olympics gold medallist was seen saying. Despite Neeraj’s denial to answer the objectionable question, Rajeev Sethi did not stop there and proceeded to elaborate his question in further detail.

When the art historian attempted to apologise for the question, a disgusted Neeraj Chopra replied, “My heart is overwhelmed by your question.

Earlier too, Neeraj was caught in another backwards situation during an interview as RJ Malishka and her team decided to show off their dance moves. Malishka even went on to offer to hug the Olympic champion virtually to which uncomfortable Neeraj responded with the gesture of ‘Namaste’ and said, “Namaste aisa door se hi.
