KL Rahul left a comment on his rumored girlfriend Athiya Shetty‘s swimwear picture which left the internet guessing as to its meaning. The two have been rumored to be dating for quite some time now and have been seen with each other in their Instagram pictures. On the cricketer’s 28th birthday, the actress had shared a picture of the duo and referred to him as ‘my person’ which seemed to all but confirm the relationship.

Rahul is now occupied with the Indian Premier League (IPL) which is set to start on the 9th of April. He will be leading the Punjab Kings (PBKS) franchise for whom he had a terrific season with the bat although he wasn’t able to lead them to the playoff spots. The Karnataka wicket-keeper batsman will once again be the skipper for the side and he would want a much better performance this time around.

Athiya Shetty posted a picture in a swimwear wherein she can be seen taking a mirror selfie. She captioned the image with a simple heart emoji. To the same, KL Rahul replied with a similar heart emoji albeit of a different color and wrote, “jefa”. The comment left fans of the couple guessing as to what its meaning is and if there is a hidden meaning or a nickname that were unaware of.

As it turned out, the common conception now is that ‘jefa’ in Spanish means ‘boss’ and hence, Rahul was referring to his rumored girlfriend as a boss. This post as well as the cricketer’s comments have now gone viral on social media.

Rahul will be seen in action for PBKS on the 12th of April in the side’s first match of IPL 2021 against Rajasthan Royals.
