Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce took a fantastic victory at the Paris Diamond League equalling her season best time.

The ongoing Paris Diamond League is proving the be quite the show for fans all over the world. Held at the Stade Charléty, the performances of athletes are proving to be memorable- and Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce is certainly topping that list. With the 2022 World Championships on the horizon, her performance is proving to be more and more impressive as she seems unstoppable on her road to break the world record.

Despite the 30 degree heat in the stadium, Fraser-Pryce made a breeze of the 100m event, sprinting to a blistering victory in the time of just 10.67s. The 3 time Olympic gold medallist also managed to equal her world’s best time this year that she had set in Nairobi in May.

Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce sets season best time, poses threat to reigning world champion Thompson-Herah

With the dominant victory at the Diamond League, Fraser-Pryce now poses a serious threat the the reigning world champion Elaine Thompson-Herah. Both the track stars are set to meet at the Jamaican trials next week, and will also be seen at the World Championships in Eugene.

Speaking about her performance, Fraser-Pryce said, “I feel very good, technically it was very good. The goal is always to be on top technically, then the lap times follow. Physically I was good too. Running 10.6, only a few sprinters can achieve that.” Britain’s Daryll Neita finished in second place at the League with a time of 10.99s, while it was Marie-Josee Ta Lou of Ivory Coast who completed the podium with a time of 11.01s.
