After a disappointing season with Barcelona, Luis Suarez is now looking for a new club. The Uruguayan stikes has scored 198 goals and assisted 110 for Barcelona during his time at the Catalonian club. However, it is being reported that Atletico Madrid are the favourites to the land the stiker.
Following the departure of Alvaro Morata to Juventus, Atletico are now left with limited resources in their striking department with only Joao Felix and Diego Costa in their fold. And now they have turned their attention to Suarez, who is keen to move out after Ronald Koeman reportedly told him that they don’t intend to continue with him next season.
Last minute setback for Suarez in Juventus move
Juventus were keen to sign him at the first place and Suarez agreed to move to Italy. The problem surfaced when he couldn’t land in Turin owing to passport issues. He further could not clear Italian language test, a necessity to move to Italy. Subsequently, the deal was called off at the last minute.
Atletico Madrid took the advantage of the situation regarding his possible move to their club and came on an agreement. The official announcement is yet to take place. A positive meeting between Barcelona and Atletico may result in Suarez leaving the catalonian club after six years.
