Carlos Alcaraz made his ATP debut at the age of 16 at the 2020 Rio Open as a wildcard and won his first game at the tour. He was the youngest male player at the 2021 Australian Open and won his debut Grand Slam match. Alcaraz last played at the Acapulco Open losing to Alexander Zverev in straight sets.

Emil Russuvuori older than Alcaraz but still a young player on the tour, turned pro in 2018 and played the Bangkok Challenger coming via the qualifier round and won the first round at the main draw, going out in the 2nd match. Emil went out to Andrey Rublev at the Dubai Open in the 2nd round in straight sets.
