Katarina Zavatska also had a comfortable first round victory, defeating Clara Tauson in straight sets. The Ukrainian dropped just six games in her first round victory. Zavatska last played at the Linz Open where she lost in the first round to Russian, Varvara Gracheva in straight sets.
