Rio Olympics gold medalist Carolina Marin has resumed her training after two months, after the worldwide lockdown stopped all the sporting events due to The COVID-19 pandemic.
Marin is renowned for her best performance in the 2016 Rio Olympics where she won the gold medal in women’s singles against India’s badminton champion PV Sindhu.
She has also won the European championships title for 4 times in 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2018.
The Spaniard’s international debut was in the Brussel’s international U15 tournament in 2005 while becoming a professional in 2007, she won Gold at the 2009 European U17 Championship and a silver medal at the U19 European Championship.
She created history by winning three World Championships titles and becoming the only female badminton player to do so.
