Barcelona Finally Sack Manager, Quique Setien

FC Barcelona have sacked manager Quique Setien after the humiliating 8-2 defeat against Bayern Munich. This is Barcelona’s first trophy less season in this decade. Probably their fans would be hoping that this doesn’t repeat soon.

Having being 2 points ahead in the domestic league, Barcelona went onto loose the title by 5 points. Things started to go haywire from them. Unless German side, Bayern made their squad even more vulnerable. This decision is taken as a part of a ‘restricting the team’ basis.

However, multiple reports in Spain suggest Ronald Koeman is the favourite to take the job next. Setien was in charge of the club for only 25 games since being appointed in January. Although the official word would on the next President would take place on 15th March.

FC Barcelona makes it official via there Twitter Handle. They quoted, “The new coach will be announced in the coming days as part of a wide ranging restructuring of the first team.”
