Barcelona to distribute 15000 PPEs in partnership with Tencent to hospitals in Spain

Spanish club, Barcelona will distribute 15000 PPEs through its foundation named Barca foundation as a part of an agreement with Tencent the Chinese internet company.

The club website has posted this statement “The first installment of 15000 sets of individual protective equipment has already arrived and will be distributed via the Barca foundation to different hospitals and the healthcare professionals currently working to deal with the Pandemic and alleviate the effect of Coronavirus.”

Tencent is a Chinese internet company which launched a USD 100 million global anti-Pandemic fund in order to help healthcare workers in the fight against coronavirus. This money will be used to meet the basic healthcare supplies too, which includes the protective equipments and other necessary things. And now, Barca foundation will now be helping to distribute these things in Catalonia.

The protective equipments include a hood for healthcare professionals, whose characteristics meet the protection requirements in ICU and care provided to the COVID-19 patients. To fight against corona, the club has made facilities to health authorities and for research projects to find the study to prevent this infection.

Spanish authority are optimistic that the death rate has again slowed, whereas the nationwide toll has reached 15,238.
