Battlegrounds Mobile India was released by Krafton for Android devices on 2nd July. After completing 50 million downloads on Android, Krafton released the game for iOS devices as well. Within months of its release, the game boasted of 16 million daily active users and numbers have risen since then. The game was received with affection from Indian fans who were ardent fans of PUBG Mobile.
The competitive aspect of the game is very promising as Krafton, after seeing some tumultuous months of the game due to the hackers and cheaters, has finally decided to hold the open for all tournament (BGIS 2021) featuring a prize pool of 1 crore on 4th December. The registrations for the tournament which began in the month of July ended few days ago and fans are now waiting for the tournament to begin.
As Tencent has announced the invitation of Indian team at PMGC 2021, several BGMI enthusiasts are believing that the BGIS 2021 championship will get the direct invitation. BGMI also got nominated for User’s Choice Award 2021, however, lost the trophy to Free Fire Max, its biggest rival that was released on 28th September this year.
