Champions Bayern celebrated their victorious season with a 4-0 win over Wolfsburg. In the process, Bayern also crossed the 100-goal mark in Bundesliga this season. In the build-up of their first Bayern goal, Thomas Muller created history with his 21st assist of the season. Muller surpassed De Bruyne’s record of 20 assists in a single Bundesliga season.

Having already won the title, the match did not have any real meaning for Bayern. However, Wolfsburg were fighting for qualification in Europa League group stage. Due to their loss and Hoffenheim’s win over Dortmund, Wolfsburg did not qualify to Europa League stage and rather went to qualifiers.

Bayern were up and running within 5 minutes as Muller’s assist released Coman who slotted it past Casteels. Bayern were flooding forward but Wolfsburg got a rare chance through Brekalo. Wolfsburg got in Bayern’s box, but Brekalo’s first time shot was well saved by Bayern. Wolfsburg were denied another chance, this time by Odriozola who did enough to put off the striker.

The chance for Wolfsburg came minutes after Coman’s miss from 5 yards out. However, Bayern were not made to pay for their mistake and in fact got their second, this time through Cuisance. The youngster got his first Bundesliga goal in some style. His exceptional strike from 25 yards out went to the top left corner to double Bayern’s lead. It was an inch-perfect strike from Cuisance.

The half ended with a disallowed goal for Wolfsburg after Ginczek was deemed offside. Bayern were comfortable with a 2-0 lead and their performance showcased why they are champions.

Both sides took time to get into the rhythm. The first real chance came for Gnabry who went for goal which he ended up missing instead of passing to unmarked Lewandowksi. It was all Bayern after that moment, as they were awarded a penalty minutes after having a goal disallowed.

Guilavogui’s tackle on Cuisance earned him a red card and penalty to Bayern. Lewandowksi made no mistake from the spot to hit his 21st Bundesliga goal against Wolfsburg. Minutes later, Muller sealed a resounding win for Bayern after Muller scored from a tight angle.

In process it was the 100th Bundesliga goal this season for Bayern which is an impressive mark.

It was another dominating win for Bayern as they deservedly lifted the trophy after the match. Hansi Flick rejuvenated the Bayern side since his arrival. Now Bayern will move their attention towards the DFB Pokal Final against Leverkusen while Wolfsburg end their season in 7th.
