Bayern Munich set to part ways with Javi Martinez this month

Javi Martinez is set to leave Bayern Munich. There's no talks of contract extension with the club.

Bayern Munich are ready to let go of Spanish international Javi Martinez in this transfer window as per recent reports. He has been allowed to leave at the end of this month.

The Bavarian giants are also looking to offload youngster Zirskee. They recently won 5-2 in a dominant performance against FC Mainz in the Bundesliga.

The Spanish international has won a lot of trophies during his stay at the club including the very recently won UEFA Champions League in Lisbon. They defeated the French club Paris Saint Germain ok the final.

Moreover Javi Martinez was the scorer of the crucial goal against Sevilla in the UEFA Super Cup final wherein he got the header to with the title for Bayern Munich. It’s similar to how he sealed the UEFA Super Cup with in 2013 against Chelsea before.

Having been deployed in a variety of positions by Hansi Flick, he was an important part of the side especially after the departure of Thiago Silva. In the absence of German Joshua Kimmich, he used to play as defensive midfielder.

Recently he got injured and was subbed of by Hansi Flick. The club released an official statement but didn’t specify on the extent of the injury or for how long he will be out.

According to recent reports the defender is ready for a new challenge after spending nine seasons at Bayern Munich. The club has also decided to respect his decision and not negotiate.

Furthermore no new contract extension has been offered as well. Hence its extremely likely that Javi Martinez will leave Bayern Munich this January transfer window.
