Nike makes way for MPL

Team India’s current kit sponsor Nike decided to pull out of the current deal after asking for a reduction in royalty and merchandise cost. The move is believed to be an effort by the company to cover the loss following the ongoing pandemic and its financial effects. BCCI decided to accept fresh bids after negotiations failed.
The Indian team’s first post-pandemic tour kicks off from November 27 in Australia. The squad for the tour has been announced already and they will be leaving from UAE after the conclusion of the ongoing IPL season.
