“Believe – What Life and Cricket Taught Me” – Suresh Raina’s autobiography to be out by May 2021

The book is co-authored and curated by Bharat Sundaresan, a cricket journalist who is employed by Cricbuzz at present.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) superstar Suresh Raina has unveiled the cover of his autobiography “Believe- What Life and Cricket Taught Me “ curated by Bharat Sundaresan which depicts his lessons from his cricketing journey.

After being advised by Cricketing Legend Sachin Tendulkar to believe in his talent, Raina, tattooed “Believe” on his arm. The book’s title is a reference to the same. It is published from the house of Penguin India publisher. This book will be published in May 2021.

The book’s synopsis reads as follows, “In this book, Suresh Raina takes you through the challenges he faced as a young cricketer. He was bullied in school and at cricket camps, but he always punched above his weight, overcoming every adversity life threw at him and never giving up. This is the story of the lessons he learnt and the friendships he built.”

“Peppered with invaluable insights-about the game and about life-that Raina acquired from senior colleagues like Rahul Dravid, Anil Kumble, Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly among others, this book will make you believe in the power of hard work, love, luck, hope and camaraderie.  The left handed Batsmen announced his retirement from international cricket on August 15, 2020 along with MS Dhoni. Raina missed the IPL 2020 due to personal reasons he returned for the IPL 2021 season in India and also scored an Half-century in the Opening Match of the Chennai Campaign.
