Ben Stokes, all-rounder of the England cricket team is expecting to be the Captain of the “Test Series”. He didn’t think of being a captain yet. England Cricket team is preparing for their 3 Test matched on 8 July at Rose Bowl Cricket Ground.
Skipper Joe Root might skip his first match as he is expecting his second child.
“ I’ve never set a goal out to be a captain. Alastair Cook was always destined to be England captain after Andrew Strauss. Root was always destined to be a captain after Cook.” said Stroked, quoted by ESPNcricinfo.
“ I’m not one of those people you would necessarily think of as the next England captain. But it’s a huge honor. Even if it’s only the once you can still say ‘yeah, I’ve captained England.” he added.
The hero World Cup is looking forward to his captaincy in Test Matches.
“So I’m looking forward to it if the opportunity presents itself. But I know I’m only stepping in for one game because of Joe’s personal situation,” said Stokes.
Due to Covid-19, International Matches have been postponed.

1st match- 8 to 12 July, Ageas Bowl, Southampton
2nd match- 16 to 20 July, Emirates Old Trafford, Manchester
