The Big dogs also happen to be the most successful grand slam winners in Men’s singles. Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal are tied with 20 majors while Novak Djokovic has won 18. Many NextGen stars have shown their potential in the recent years. But one can still see the dominance of the Big Three in the sport today.

There are many aspects to decode the dominance of ‘Big 3’. Their hardwork and skill is an obvious reason, but one major reason of their dominance over the years is temperament and the ability to soak in pressure.

Recently, tennis legend Boris Becker revealed that he has never heard the word ‘pressure’ from the mouths of Federer, Nadal or Djokovic. And also said that Dominic Thiem will have to find a different approach to handle pressure.

A few days back, Thiem revealed that he has been suffering from a mental block which has been hampering his return on court.

Becker said: “Thiem needs a different approach to pressure. I have never heard the word ‘pressure’ from the mouths of Federer, Nadal or Djokovic – although they should have some permanent pressure because of their success.”

Although Thiem is not yet relieved of his knee injury, he’s still looking forward to playing in both Madrid and Rome Masters leading up to Roland Garros.
