ATK Mohun Bagan FC’s star defender Boris Singh tested COVID19 positive

Boris Singh Thangjam plays at the right back position and was an integral member of the India U17 squad that represented the nation at a FIFA competition for the first time.

The recent reports were about him training in Bangalore in the off-season to work on conditioning and strength. The 20-year old has been tested positive for Covid-19 now. However, the overall condition looks stable and is yet to show any serious symptoms.

Boris is yet to make a debut in the ISL

The young lad is full of talent and has the ability to beat opposition players with some shear pace. He went to play for the I-League giants Indian Arrows after returning from the World Cup.

There were rumours about almost all of the ISL clubs wanting to sign Boris. Eventually, it was ATK that got through with the deal. But, the 20-year old has not gone on to the field for the club even once.

We just hope that he has a speedy recovery and can join the team’s camp as soon as they resume training for the upcoming ISL season.
