‘Snakes in the grass’ – Tyson Fury pokes fun at Deontay Wilder as he teases trilogy bout with ‘The Bronze Bomber’

Tyson Fury and Wilder Fury

It looks like Tyson Fury has shifted his attention towards Deontay Wilder after the recent unfolding of events. An arbitrator recently ruled that Fury must face Wilder in a trilogy bout before the 15th of September, this year. Fury’s fight against Anthony Joshua had just been made official, when the news broke out.

In the wake of this, Fury has gone back to trolling Wilder. He posted an edited photo of Wilder crying, and posted numerous excuses the Bronze Bomber gave after his loss to him in the rematch in February 2020. ‘The Gypsy King’ just mentioned Wilder’s account and shared the image.

‘Ref did a shit job’ – One among Deontay Wilder’s many excuses

Among the various excuses, the notable ones were, “Fury was covered in oil, disloyal trainer, I broke my arm, snakes in the grass, dent in my head, ref did a shit job, fight stopped to early, complications in camp among many others.” And most of the excuses listed were mentioned by Wilder at least at one point after his loss.

Wilder also fired his long-standing coach Mark Breland after his loss, accusing him of spiking his water and throwing the towel in too early. Wilder in fact, totally lost it at one point. He now seems to have recovered from the lasting effects of the loss.

Fury, on the other hand, looks okay to fight the Bronze Bomber in a trilogy bout. It is Joshua and team who are feeling dejected at the moment, and it looks like they have turned to Oleksandr Usyk, who is the WBO mandatory.

Fury’s promoter Bob Arum also seems to be okay with the idea of Fury fighting Wilder first. He recently said that Fury vs Joshua can be shelved and organized sometime in 2022!
