The super-fight between Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou has been in the limelight for some time now. It started when Fury once called out to Ngannou that he was interested in fighting ‘The Predator’ in future.
Recently Fury made headlines after he defended his WBO and The Ring heavyweight titles against Dillan Whyte inside the Wembley Stadium. Fury defeated Whyte via a brutal KO in the 6th round and maintained his undefeated reign. After the fight in his post-fight interview, Fury announced that he had to retire from the sport forever. In the same interview, Fury called out Ngannou who was there in the ring supporting the Brit. Fury added that he is interested in fighting Ngannou soon and it will be a great match-up.
” I’m the boxing heavyweight champion, UFC heavyweight champion. He’s in great shape, look at the muscles on him. This is going to be a very special fight like never before seen in the history of our sport,” Fury told ESPN after the fight.
Francis Ngannou comments on fighting Tyson Fury
After that major moment inside the Wembley Stadium, it is now clear that Fury and Ngannou will fight soon.
Recently, Ngannou was invited to ‘The MMA Hour‘ show hosted by Ariel Helwani on YouTube. In the interview, the Cameroonian talked about his recovery, his fight with Fury and what are his predictions of the fight.
During the conversation, Helwani asked if Ngannou could possibly knock Fury out in the fight. While responding to the question, Ngannou was clear in his mind that he has the capability and power to knock Fury out. According to the UFC Heavyweight champion, it’s not going to be easy but still, it is possible for him to knock Fury. “Oh yeah, 100 percent believe I can knock it out. It’s not easy, but it’s possible,” said Ngannou.
Ngannou’s power is not something that his opponents can ignore. The fighter has proved time and time how dangerous his strikes are inside the octagon. Ngannou has 12 knockout victories in his professional career and has the speed to land them in a blink of an eye. Surely it is something that Fury will have to take care of in their upcoming fight.
