Looks like we’re not going to watch the much anticipated Jake Paul versus Tommy Fury anytime soon, at least according to Jake Paul. The Youtuber-cum-Boxer who’s 4-0 so far has announced on Twitter that his fifth professional boxing fight is not going to be against the undefeated Fury and has hence shifted his mind to other alternatives, specifically, a couple of former professional boxers.

Paul last fought in August of this year where he defeated former UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley via split decision. Fury on the other hand last fought on the undercard of Paul vs Woodley, where he defeated Anthony Taylor via unanimous decision, elevating his record to 7-0. Both Paul and Fury had an infamous confrontation backstage in the night they fought their opponents.

At 1:59 A.M. IST, Paul tweeted “7-0 Fury doesn’t cut it for my 5th fight I’m fighting either Hector Lopez or Javier Martinez next!! Hector was “Tanks” 8th opponent, came in 0-0 and retired 0-1. Hector was an MMAer who was 2-0 Javier was Canelos 10th opponent, entered the fight 0-0 and retired at 0-1 #Clowns

The matchup between Paul and the anticipated next opponent Fury was getting more and more attention day by day. After some alleged back and forth on the fight deal, it was asserted for time being that the fight is going to happen by the end of this year. However, we might now see a certain turn of events. Boxing promoter Frank Warren hasn’t responded to Paul’s tweet yet. IT would be interesting to see how Paul would promote his next fight if it happens to be with one of his aforementioned options.
