Breaking: Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley next; fight announcement to be made tomorrow

Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley

It looks like Jake Paul has been booked for his next fight. He is going to be taking on newly-released former UFC Welterweight champion Tyron Woodley. The news was first broken by renowned MMA journalist Mike Coppinger. He stated that he had learned from sources that Paul and Woodley have agreed to a fight.

A while later, Paul himself Tweeted that he would be announcing his next fight tomorrow, although he didn’t reveal who it was going to be against. Going by the look of things, and a confrontation already involving Woodley and Paul, it has to be true.

Jake Paul recently signed a multi-fight deal with Showtime

Coppinger tweeted, “Sources: Jake Paul and former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley have agreed to a deal for a boxing match. Jake recently signed a multi-fight deal with Showtime. Friday face-off in Miami planned to promote the event. Paul coming off first-round KO of Ben Askren.”

The Athletic then chimed in tweeting, “BREAKING — Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley have agreed to a deal for a boxing match, sources tell @MikeCoppinger.

Paul tweeted, “FIGHT ANNOUNCEMENT TOMORROW.”

Woodley and Paul had an altercation backstage after Paul defeated Ben Askren on the 17th of April. ‘The Problem Child’ and his trainer J’Leon Love disrespected the former Welterweight champion, which didn’t sit well with the people of the MMA community. Hence, there will be a lot of bad blood going into this fight.

And, this will be the first time Paul will be taking on a legit striker. All his previous opponents had either no boxing experience or were pathetic strikers. Woodley is a ferocious man with one-punch knockout power.

The venue and further details are yet to be announced. Official announcement might be tomorrow, going by Jake Paul’s tweet. Who do you think has the edge in Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley?
