In the latest episode of DC & RC, guest Luke Rockhold talked about Boxing and Jake Paul. While Rockhold did give credit to Paul’s toughness, he claimed that Boxing was nothing compared to real fighting (MMA). To put it in words, Rockhold called Boxing a “Dumbed-down version of fighting.”

“He’s a tough kid…He’s a decent boxer” – Luke Rockhold on Jake Paul

Rockhold was quoted as saying, “He’s a tough kid…He’s a decent boxer. Fighting is different. Boxing is not fighting…Boxing is a performance. It is a dumbed-down version of fighting. Technically, in the dictionary, he’s not a real fighter, you know, step in the game with 4-ounce gloves and we can do business but that’s not the case.”

Paul is expected to face Tyron Woodley in a rematch after the same was comically agreed upon in the immediate aftermath. For Woodley to face Paul in a rematch, he needs to get a tattoo of ‘I Love Jake Paul.’

Plus, the YouTube star is also flirting with the possibility of fighting Tyson Fury’s half-brother Tommy Fury. Tommy, who fought Anthony Taylor in the undercard of Paul vs Woodley had a nasty backstage altercation with Paul.

Luke Rockhold, on the other hand, will be returning to the Octagon on the 6th of November at UFC 268. He is set to take on Sean Strickland who is coming off a win over Uriah Hall recently. Rockhold’s last fight was in July 2019, when he tested uncharted waters (light-heavyweight) against Jan Blachowicz.
