If there’s one comparison that Mike Tyson absolutely despises, it is putting him and his idol, Muhammad Ali on the same pedestal of greatness. Though the fans and critics around the world would disagree about that, no one dares to argue with Tyson on that. Mike has always considered Ali as a person whose greatness exceeds his accomplishments inside the boxing ring. “Every head must bow, every tongue must confess he is the greatest of all time,” said Tyson once when he appeared on a show with Ali.

In a recent episode of Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson, “Iron Mike” spoke to the ‘GWOAT’ Claressa Shields about the nasty things Ali would say inside the boxing ring to his opponents to mentally destroy them. “He is the most confident fighter that ever lived. And I studied him a lot. Most of his boxing, as he got a little older, was psychology,” said Tyson in the recent episode. \

“He would talk about their mothers,” Mike Tyson said about Ali

Ali was known to be quite the wordsmith. Some of the most famous quotes and captions come from that man. Though he was always perceived as someone with a lot of humility and respect, when it came to boxing, the man did not think twice before playing mental warfare with his opponent.

“Ali would be in the clinch talking about screwing your mother, your sister. He would say, ‘I caught your sister around the church and I did this. Ali is the most disgusting person in the boxing ring. The things he said were so bad, the referee would say, ‘I can’t tell you what he said.'” Mike and Claressa went on to talk about the alter egos boxers have inside the ring and outside the ring.
