Bradley Beal’s late heroics lifts Washington Wizards past Golden State Warriors

Stephen Curry and Bradley Beal

Bradley Beal joined the party late for Washington Wizards as he knocked 6 points in the last 6 seconds to help his team register a big win against Golden State Warriors. However, it wasn’t just Beal who impressed, Russell Westbrook scored NBA Leading 21t tripled-double and Rui Hachimura added 22 points for the away team. Robin Lopez had season-high 20 points.

For the Golden State Warriors, Stephen Curry led the offensive charts with game-high 32 points. But it wasn’t to be enough as the Warriors lose their 4th game out of 5. Apart from Curry, Kelly Oure Jr added 23 and James Wiseman scored 18. The Warriors didn’t lead until Oubre made consecutive 3s midway through the third. Wiggins followed with a short jumper to cap the 11-0 run.

Bradley Beal drains 6 points in last 6 seconds to lead Wizards past Warriors

Bradley Beal who scored 20 points, was double-teamed nearly every time he touched the ball in the second half. He had missed nine of 15 shots and was 0 for 4 beyond the arc before making one in the left corner and getting fouled by Andrew Wiggins. That came moments after Beal’s 3-point try at the top of the arc hit the front of the rim.

Russell Westbrook’s triple-double was the 167th of his career, 14 shy of Hall of Famer Oscar Robertson’s NBA-record 181. Rui Hachimura’s 13 points in the first quarter were his most in any game since putting up a career-high 30 against Charlotte on March 30.
