Wrestler Vinesh Phogat tests positive for coronavirus, says, "I am doing well and hoping to recover soon."

Commonwealth Games Gold Medalist Wrestler Vinesh Phogat tests positive for Covid-19. She took to Twitter and wrote, “I have tested positive for COVID-19 in a test taken yesterday. I am currently showing no symptoms but have isolated myself. All my family members are also isolating. I would request everyone who has come in contact with me recently to get tested. Stay safe everyone! Thank you ?”

Vinesh is also one if the five sports personalities who are going to receive the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award. However, she will now be skipping the National Sports Award Ceremony.

Phogat is the is the only Indian Women Wrestler to have qualified for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics (Now Postponed to 2021).
