Dan Ige came in firing first with a combination, and then went for the body. Calvin Kattar waiting for his opportunity to counter, and drew another combo. Ige missed his shots and Kattar made him pay with a couple of shots overhead.

Front kick to the face from Kattar and Ige’s right eye git marked up. Kattar caught a body kick and deposited Ige on the mat with a trip. He pounded overhead and rips the body as Ige gets up. Trade of kicks, and Kattar again pressure in.

Ige came back and lead with a body shot, and Kattar came back for a counter. Jab and front kicks from Kattar to measure distance, and he countered well as Ige got in close. Ige hooked to the body and head for a good connection, and Kattar’s nose got bloodied.

Ige started getting more aggressive, charging forward with hooks to the body and head. Kattar started chasing him, but could not his range as well this round.Big combo from Kattar set up a leaping knee, and both wore big shots as Ige careened across the octagon.

Ige became more aggressive to start the middle frame, pushing back Kattar with jabs to the body and kicks. Kattar defused one approach with a low kick and goes back to work with his jab. Ige drew Kattar into a counter and landed a couple of nice combos. Big hooks to the body. Both sat down on and landed right hands, and Ige momentarily dived for the legs.

Ige drew a few more charges, but each time, he worked the body or answered Kattar with his own shots. Ige started pressuring forward. He shot for a takedown.He tried to corner Ige and plants a couple of big straight punches. Ige again grabbed for the leg, and Kattar bowled him over against the fence, pistoning away with punches and elbows.

Big shift in momentum. Kattar let Ige up, but this time, there was a little less sting on his counters. At the midway point, both slowed down a little bit. Ige exploded with a superman punch and hook. Trade of jabs, and Ige winged another bolo. He was seen throwing everything into his punches, while Kattar was picking away before throwing power shots near the edge of the cage. Trade of leg kicks, and Ige again winged another one. Nice body shot from Ige, but leg kick sweeped him for a second.

The 5th round started with a Trade of leg kicks ,and Ige tried to punch into the clinch. Kattar framed him off and wanted to trade toe-to-toe. A nice straight right for Kattar. Disciplined attack continued for Kattar, and Ige’s shots were increasingly telegraphed.

Three minutes left, and Kattar’s kickboxing fundamentals started taking over here. Ige was eating jabs as he was coming forward. They trade in close, and both landed big punches. Ige grabed a leg, and Kattar leapt in the air to regain his footing, avoiding the takedown. Incredible athleticism.

The right side of Ige’s face started swelling badly. Ige again grabed for the leg, and Kattar nearly hit the deck. He locked up a clinch and landed a huge knee that rocked Ige badly. Ige hit the deck, and Kattar closed the fight with a flurry that looked like it might have netted a TKO had the action gone longer.
