“That makes him a little bit more dangerous, but at my level I have to be able to adapt to all styles and sizes. So I know how dangerous my opponent is, and we’re conscious of that, but we’re ready to overcome this big challenge.”

It seems that the Mexican being at the forefront of his career might not take his rivals easily. In the 168-pound class, he credited Smith as the best. In addition, he admitted that he was inspired by an adversary like Smith to cement his position as one of the world’s greatest boxers.

The last time Canelo fought was in 2019. With a brutal KO, he earned a victory over Sergey Kovalev. On December 19, to conclude the year, he will be highly pumped into this exciting matchup.
