Due to the ongoing spread of The Novel Coronavirus, each and every sports activity has come to a standstill. The 2020 Tokyo Games aren’t spared too, as they are now scheduled to happen a year later. But Reportedly, The chief executive of the Tokyo Games said that they cannot give guarantee that the postponed Olympic will take place next year or not.

The CEO of Tokyo Olympic Toshiro Muto said “I don’t think anyone would be able to say if it is going to be possible to get it under control by next July or not. We’re certainly not in position to give you a clear answer.”

A Nation-Wide Emergency has also been declared by the Japanese Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe, in the wake to battle the Novel Coronavirus.

The 2020 Olympics were postponed last month and were scheduled to take place on 23rd July 2021, followed by the paralympic on 24th August. Abe, the Prime Minister has been criticized for being slow to act against the Coronavirus as the opposition said that he wanted to conduct the Olympics as he took this virus very lightly.

International Olympic Committee is thinking of taking the flame to a World tour, in order to use it as a light to fight against the virus, but any tour will not be possible till the travel restrictions are lifted.
