IPL 2021: Chris Gayle enjoys his “Egg-Ceptional” Breakfast in Chennai

Chris Gayle hasn't been able to lit up the IPL this season for Punjab Kings.

When it comes to hitting huge sixes with ease, Punjab Kings’ destructive batsman Chris Gayle needs no introduction. He is the first player in the world to reach 1,000 sixes in the game’s shortest form, and he is still going strong after all these years. Apart from his on-field exploits, he is often recognized for leading a luxurious lifestyle as shown by his countless Instagram photos and videos. Punjab Kings’ official Twitter account posted a video of Gayle enjoying an “egg-ceptional” breakfast.

Gayle can be seen in the video saying that he prefers to get up early before anyone else and run to the hotel’s dining room to eat his breakfast alone.

“#UniverseBoss is just Egg-ceptional,” tweeted Punjab Kings. Gayle begins with porridge and then progresses to an omelet. Gayle thanks the hotel staff for their excellent service and enjoys a slice of watermelon at the end of the video.

Chris Gayle yet to make a difference

Chris Gayle has not yet performed as per his standards this season. Gayle has scored just 76 runs in four matches so far. He got off to a good start with a quick 40 against Rajasthan Royals in Punjab Kings’ first match, but he struggled in the following three games, departing for 10, 11 and 15 respectively. After losing in the previous three matches, PBKS will hope that their cult hero Chris Gayle regains his form.

The main reason for the failure of the Punjab Kings in this season so far has been their poor bowling. They roped in Australian Pacers Jhye Richardson and Riley Meredith for heavy prices in the IPL Auction but still, their woes of death bowling have not been resolved. KL Rahul has been very inconsistent and sloppy with his bowling changes, which has not given the right kind of exposure to the PBKS bowlers.
