Chris Gayle is without a doubt one of the most feared cricketers in the world and apart from the same, also one of the greatest entertainers. With his brute power and explosiveness, the West Indian has a case for himself to be considered the greatest T20 player of all time. It is no wonder that Gayle is adored by a plethora of fans around the world. His showings for both the national team and his T20 franchises have been top notch.
Gayle is also someone who enjoys life and has a simple approach to it. He gets candid a lot of times and freely shares his opinions and views, be it about cricket or anything else as well. He recently sat down with ESPNcricinfo and answered 25 questions covering various subjects right from the potential name of his own franchise, to his favorite stadium to the players he would choose in his T20 XI.
Chris Gayle reveals his favorite stadium and T20 players
Chris Gayle was asked in the video about which is the stadium he loves to hit sixes in and the ‘Universe Boss’ said that it was the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. It is noteworthy that the West Indian was a part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the past where he used to play in the stadium and set it on fire on plenty of occasions. It was also the stadium where he scored his famous 175* against Pune Warriors.
On being asked to choose the first three players he would name in his T20 XI, he went for his teammates Nicholas Pooran, Andre Russell and India’s Rohit Sharma. Him opting for the latter seemed like an unexpected choice since Gayle and Rohit haven’t played together as a part of a team.
