Cincinnati Open 2020: Kevin Anderson vs Stefanos Tsitsipas | Preview | Head-to-Head | Prediction

Kevin Anderson Stefanos Tsitsipas

It is a blockbuster Sunday at the Western and Southern Open where we will witness the battle of giants in the second round of men’s singles. South Africa’s Kevin Anderson will lock horns with fourth-seeded Stefanos Tsitsipas in what we can call a battle of aces. At 6’8″ and 6’4″, Anderson and Tsitsipas, respectively are two of the tallest guys in the circuit.
While Tsitsipas will play his first match at the ATP 1000 event as he got the first-round bye, Anderson had to rally hard to defeat Kyle Edmund in Round of 64 by 7-6, 4-6, 6-3. The season has not been a good one for the 34-year-old South African as he has seen his rank dipped to 123 in the world. During 2020, he has won three matches and have also lost three. The performance of the Greek this season has not been the best either. The 22-year old Tsitsipas has won 13 while he has lost 5 matches in 2020. His only title this year is at ATP 250 Marseille Open when he defeated Felix Auger-Aliassime in straight sets.

Kevin Anderson vs Stefanos Tsitsipas | Predictions

Though not a great year for Tsitsipas, he is still the World No.6. Moreover, in comparison with Anderson, he has a better showing this year. Having said that, the winner of this match would probably be the one who will have a better first-serve percentage. If we see at their rankings, Tsitsipas should have a smooth ride, however, you can’t write off former World No.5 Anderson that easily. It should be a tight affair and the match can go to the distance. With their towering heights, get ready for a flurry of aces during the course of the match!
