Sunrisers Hyderabad

Sunrisers Hyderabad are highly dependent on Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Rashid Khan to deliver for them. For the past several seasons, they have lacked an experienced overseas fast bowler who can play a hand to Bhuvneshwar. SRH management have constantly changed their fast bowling combination which has resulted in an imbalance within the squad.

The inclusion of Mohammad Amir would bring more stability to the team as well as reduce pressure from Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Amir could prove to be an asset for SRH with his invaluable skills. His ability to bowl consistent lines and get breakthroughs in the initial overs might see him being picked by SRH.

Punjab Kings

Punjab Kings too have faced similar kinds of issues with the pace bowling as SRH. Over the years, Mohammed Shami has been leading their pace attack. Punjab have tried several overseas fast bowlers in the squad but none of them have delivered as per their expectations. In IPL 2021, they roped in Jhye Richardson and Riley Meredith for huge prices but the move didn’t work out for them.

Mohammad Amir could fill the holes in the PBKS bowling lineup with his skillset. His experience and potential to grab early wickets could prove to be very vital. Punjab Kings are thus expected to bid for him in the IPL auction.

Royal Challengers Bangalore

Royal Challengers Bangalore have improved a lot in the last two seasons of the IPL, especially in the pace bowling department. The rise of Mohammed Siraj has been very essential for RCB. Siraj is expected to be retained by RCB ahead of the IPL 2022 auction and they would need another pacer to play a hand to him.

In IPL 2021, RCB roped in Kyle Jamieson for a huge amount, who performed decently with the ball. With Jamieson expected to be released ahead of the IPL 2022, RCB could try to pick Mohammad Amir. The inclusion of Amir would make the RCB lineup a nightmare for other teams. He can lead the pace bowling attack alongside Siraj and can make a healthy contribution to the team’s success.
