David Warner looked in a jovial mood as the opening batter appeared in front of the press following the scintillating performance by Australia. The Men in Yellow scripted their second consecutive victory of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 on Thursday as they outclassed the Sri Lankan side by seven wickets.

Before the commencement of the press conference, Warner managed to capture the attention of all the cricket fanatics as he did a Cristiano Ronaldo. David Warner removed the Coca Cola bottles placed in front of him. However, the opening batter was immediately asked to put the bottles back on the table and he complied saying, “If it is good for Cristiano Ronaldo, it is good for me.”

It was a hilarious situation and the fans and the media had a good laugh over the incident along with David Warner. Meanwhile, Warner has finally returned back to the form after a poor season with the willow. The opening batter had a below-average season with the willow and had finally found his rhythm.

Australia’s second game in the T20 World Cup 2021 saw them squaring off against Sri Lanka at the Dubai International Stadium. The match saw Sri Lanka producing an average batting performance. The team ended up with 154 runs in their 20 overs. Kusal Perera and Charith Asalanka were the joint-highest run-scorers with 35 runs each under their belt.

Chasing 155, Australia didn’t break any sweat as David Warner delivered a hair-raising performance. The 35-year-old slammed 65 runs off just 42 balls. His knock was laced with ten boundaries at a strike rate of 154.76. The sublime innings by Warner helped Australia in chasing the score within 17 overs.
