“God decides your destiny” – Yuvraj Singh hints at making comeback on cricket field in February 2022

One of the greatest all-rounders of all time, Yuvraj Singh has come up with delightful news for all his fans as he is set to make a comeback on the cricket pitch in February 2022. The southpaw hinted at his return via an Instagram video on Tuesday.

Yuvraj Singh shared a video of his 14th One Day International (ODI) century against England at the Barabati Stadium, Cuttack. The left-hander played an outstanding knock of 150 runs while batting first against the Three Lions. As a result, the ‘Men in Blue’ registered a nail-biting victory of 15 runs despite losing three wickets inside five overs. 

In the backdrop, the song ‘Teri Mitti’ by B Praak from the Akshay Kumar-starrer ‘Kesari’ film, released back in 2019, was playing. On the other hand, he captioned the video and wrote:

“God decides your destiny!! On public demand, il be back on the pitch hopefully in February! Ain’t nothing like this feeling! Thank you for your love and wishes to mean a lot to me! Keep supporting 🇮🇳 it’s our team and a true fan will show his or her support in tough times.”

Yuvraj Singh is undoubtedly one of the gutsiest names in the realm of cricket, who made a terrific comeback despite battling deadly cancer. The 39-year-old is also the man behind India’s two WC title wins – 2007 ICC World T20 and 2021 ICC Cricket World Cup.

In a career spanning almost 17 years which was no less than a roller-coaster, Singh recorded over 11,000 runs with 17 centuries and 71 half-centuries. He donned the national jersey in 40 Tests, 304 ODIs and 58 T20Is. The Punjab cricketer also went on to pick up 148 wickets with two 4-wicket hauls and one 5-wicket haul.
