With one ICC tournament over, the preparations for the next have already begun. Yes, we are talking about the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. The terrific competition where 16 teams will compete to be recognized as the best T20 playing nation in the world.

Originally, the ICC planned to make India the host of this year’s T20 World cup. However, due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, many nations were skeptical to send their players to India.

Now after months of delay, it seems like UAE will host the T20 World Cup 2021. It is a perfect venue for short format games as the pitches are in excellent condition and fans get to witness numerous high scoring games.

As per a report by ESPNCricinfo, the schedule for the T20 World is out. 16 nations will play the first game of the tournament on October 17, 2021, in the Middle East.

Moreover, the super 12 will commence from October 24, 2021. If everything goes according to the plan, two of the best teams from the lot will face off in the finals on November 14, 2021.

While the excitement level is through the roofs for T20 World Cup 2021, there is one issue that might hinder another terrific competition. Earlier, it was revealed that the second of the Indian Premier League 2021 will also take place in UAE, which is expected to begin on September 19.

Playing two back-to-back tournaments could take a heavy toll on the pitches. Hopefully, the ICC can find a way to resolve this issue.
