Jasprit Bumrah and the Indian cricket team are all set to play in the World Test Championship final. The tournament lasted for two years and gave fans countless memories.
Team India have played incredibly over the said time frame and a lot of credit goes to their wicket taker bowler Bumrah. Just ahead of the WTC final, Bumrah sat down for an interview with none other than his wife, Sanjana Ganesan. The couple tied the knot a few months back.
Jasprit Bumrah reveals his best day of the life
The chance to represent their nation in one of the best feelings for any athlete. Bumrah has been part of the team for several years and has given his best in each match. But what’s the best day of his life according to Bumrah?
In the interview with Ganesan, he was shown an image of himself holding the Border-Gavaskar trophy. After seeing that picture, Bumrah told her:
“This picture was taken after the 4th Test. I didn’t play that Test. We win that Test. Our third-stringed side was playing and we were a little skeptical about what was going to happen. But there was a lot of belief. All the youngsters stepped up. It’s a memorable Test, a lot of happy days. We won the series in Australia, back-to-back, this was our second win.”
If the Men in Blue can win the Test against New Zealand, it would bring home their first ICC trophy in seven years. Jasprit Bumrah is included in the starting XI for the WTC final and will have huge responsibilities on his shoulder.
