Jasprit Bumrah had an excellent start to his IPL career as he picked up three wickets in his debut IPL match for MI against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Further, they were all key wickets of batsmen who were in form. He conceded just 32 runs as well and became the second bowler to take more than three wickets in his debut IPL match.

The first wicket that Bumrah picked was that of none other than current Indian captain Virat Kohli. The pacer trapped Kohli in front with an inswinging delivery before letting out a loud road out of glee that he had picked up his first IPL wicket. The second wicket was that of Mayank Agarwal who holed out to Sachin Tendulkar at mid-off. The third wicket – that of Karun Nair was similar to Virat Kohli’s as he was trapped LBW. Bumrah’s electrifying spell would not matter though as RCB went on to win the match by 2 runs in a thriller of an encounter.
